Lauren Young
Lauren is a proud University of Lethbridge graduate, having earned her Bachelor of Management (Accounting) degree before obtaining her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Her current role is General Manager of Finance at Precon Manufacturing Ltd., where she helps guide strategic decision-making and organizational growth.
Giving back to the community has always been important to Lauren. Her volunteer experience includes serving on boards in the arts, sport and community sectors, as well as coaching youth badminton for nearly a decade. During her time as a student, she was actively involved on campus as the CPA Alberta Campus Ambassador and President of the Accounting Club. Today, she remains engaged with the University by mentoring students and recent graduates from the Dhillon School of Business.
The University is woven into Lauren’s family story. Her parents, sister and husband are all proud U of L graduates and she is inspired by her father, Dr. Dean Gallimore, whose dedication to the University continues to influence her own commitment to give back and champion the many exciting initiatives taking place across campus.
Outside of work and volunteering, Lauren enjoys spending time in the mountains hiking, biking and kayaking and has been fortunate to have several once-in-a-lifetime travel adventures around the world. Most of all, she enjoys making new memories with her husband and baby daughter.
