James Frey

James Frey is a graduate of the University of Calgary with a bachelor’s degree in political science and psychology. Following university, he and Cyndi moved from Calgary to Lethbridge and James began a 30+ year career in public sector and non-profit corporate communications based in Southern Alberta with experience in post-secondary, government and health care communications strategy and issues management. Through his career he was able to complete additional education and training in website development, marketing, human resources management and organizational behaviour. In 2017 James took his communications experiences in a new direction with health care operations as Executive Associate to the Chief Zone Officer for AHS South Zone. James has been involved in actively numerous professional and community organizations including the Canadian Public Relations Society, Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce, United Way and Boys and Girls Club. Cyndi and James’ daughter is currently attending the UofL.

In addition to the UofL Senate, James is Financial Secretary of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows #2, Lethbridge – with a 133-year history, the IOOF#2 is the oldest service organization in the city.
