About

My alma mater is:
University of Calgary

I started working with the Dhillon School of Business in:
2011

If I had to eat one food for the rest of my life it would be:
Steak and Lobster (2 big tails).

My perfect day looks like:
Having a hearty breakfast first thing in the morning, listening to the birds chirping and then working in the flower garden or doing fixes on the walking trails on my property in the Rockies. At the end of the day, I would be warming myself around the fire bowl with my husband and our Shetland Sheepdog, roasting hotdogs or sipping on a cup of herbal tea as we take in the view of the Livingstone Range and talk about the next day’s ‘to do’ list while the fire crackles. Then it would be off to bed in our cozy log cabin, thinking about what a great day it’s been and falling asleep to thoughts about what critters MIGHT come by in the middle of the night (and be caught on our many trail cameras)! BTW, it isn’t safe to go on the walking trails at night!

Book(s) I recommend:
"Boss Talk: A Manual of Communication Skills for People in Leadership Roles" by Terry Barker. It’s an older 183-page manual which may not be available anymore, but if you ever find a copy, hang on to it! It was required reading for a course I took when I was once studying police science. It’s awesome because it is a concise and straight-forward manual which breaks down concepts and skills into a logical and knowledgeable format, teaching you how to develop relationships between yourself and people who report to you.

My favourite quote is:
"You have to have confidence in your ability and then be tough enough to follow through." - Rosalynn Carter

The best advice I have ever received is:
The above quote.
