Faculty Guide: Faculty's role

What Role Do I play as Faculty?

Your role is to support the student and facilitate the transfer to counselling. You do not have to take on the role of a counsellor.

Once the student is in counselling your level of involvement in the case will depend on the student's wants and needs, as well as your desire and availability to be involved. Maintaining the student's confidentiality is of prime importance. We often collaborate with faculty to ensure student success and well-being if we have written consent from the student to do so.
