Michael M Merzenich

Dr. Michael M. Merzenich is a professor emeritus neuroscientist at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Merzenich has been extremely beneficial to the world of neuroscience with his primary focus being brain plasticity. Among his numerous contributions, Dr. Merzenich was a member of the team which invented the cochlear implant, and has a long list of awards and prizes including, Ipsen Prize, Zülch Prize, Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award and Purkinje Medal.
