Protein Engineering & Structural Biochemistry: The general focus of our research group is to study the “Loss of Function” and “Gain of Function” of the disease-associated misfolded proteins. This includes understanding various amyloid conformers and their role in toxic function. We use biochemical and biophysical methods to understand the structural and biological mechanisms of disease-associated proteins in neurodegenerative diseases.

The other focus of my research group is to translate structural biochemistry to agricultural sustainability. Our group utilizes a combination of “omics” approaches to identify the biomarker of Clubroot disease.
