Accommodation

Image
Hotels are on the East side of the Oldman River (Lethbridge South) while the University of Lethbridge is in West Lethbridge. If you want to walk to the university from the two conference hotels it will take 30-45 minutes. The paved hiking trails will take you through the coulee landscape, where you will see 100 million years geological history exposed in tills, gravels, sandstones and shales, as well as a range of riparian and prairie vegetation. You may even spot a Whitetail deer, coyote, Richardson ground squirrel, Great horned owl, Hungarian Guinea fowl, beaver, fox, and many more. All of this in view of the “High Level Bridge”, the 1.6 km long and almost 100 m high steel railroad viaduct from 1909.

The Lethbridge Lodge

The Lethbridge Lodge on Scenic Drive is our downtown conference hotel. It has a wonderful view overlooking the Oldman River and coulee-dissected landscape and is the location of our Saturday night Banquet, and relatively close to night-life, cultural and shopping attractions. Room rates for a standard room with two Queen-size beds start at $104 plus 11% taxes and $10 per roll-away bed for occupancy by up to four people. Please book your Lethbridge Lodge directly through the hotel. We have not reserved a block of room to reduce our downside risk. For that reason, we ask you to be sure to book early if you would like premium accommodation at a very reasonable price

Book through the following link (https://bookings.ihotelier.com/Lethbridge-Lodge-Hotel-/bookings.jsp?hot…) to get the WDCAG2013 discount rate.

Super 8 Motel

This motel is on Major Magrath Drive in Lethbridge South, about 4 km from the Lethbridge Lodge. We have reserved 25 rooms (some with two double beds, some with two Queen beds, some smoking, and some singles) at a special rate of $90 per night plus tax for the nights of March 8 and March 9.
