The Provost’s mission is to provide leadership, oversight, and direction across a broad spectrum of University operations including institutional planning and reporting; academic program development, implementation, maintenance, and quality assurance; budgeting and reporting in collaboration with the Vice-President (Finance and Administration) in order to align operations and activities to the strategic priorities as outlined in the University’s Strategic Plan.

In accordance with the directions for the University outlined in the Alberta Post-Secondary Learning Act, the Provost’s Office team supports the Provost in establishing innovative initiatives to further the goals of the University, and to provide assistance to the team of vice-presidents, deans and other direct reports to provide programming and activities that further strengthen the University’s student-first culture.
