Fred Baskerville

Image
Fred Baskerville is an alumna of the University of Lethbridge, having graduated with a Certificate In Management in May of 1993.

He is currently retired (2019) after working in the Financial Industry for almost 50 years. His last position was with the Canadian Western Bank as the Manager of Commercial Lending.

Fred is and has been very active in the community, serving on a variety of committees and engaging in numerous volunteer activities. He had spent approximately 15 years in Rotary, 7 years on the Galt Museum Board of Directors, 5 years as Treasurer of the Rotary Dragon Boat Festival, 3 years on the United Way Board of Directors and for 10 years plus, was part of the University's own "Festival of Art and Song" helping on the organizing / fundraising committee.

For over 25 years Fred has been and still is the Treasurer of the Prairie Runners (Runner's Soul) Race Association. He has been an integral part of the Moonlight Run Organising Committee (the run started with approximately 250 runners and currently registration is cut off at 2,900 runners). He has a huge passion and a strong dedication to our community and to volunteerism.

Being a member of the UofL Senate is another exciting way for Fred to contribute to the Lethbridge community.
