CREATIVE WRITING

Open Mic/Reading Series

The English Department welcomes students in all disciplines with an interest in creative writing and performing their work (or just listening to and supporting others!) to participate in our Reading Series, held every other Thursday from 3:30-5:00. The initial organizational meeting will be held Thursday 11 September 2025 at 3:30 in Andy’s Place, AH-100.

Fantasy Lit Club

Calling all readers and writers of fantasy literature! The English Department welcomes all fans of fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and speculative literature to the inaugural meeting of the Fantasy Lit Club on Thursday 18 September 2025 at 3:30 pm in Andy’s Place (AH-100). This meeting will help establish where student interest lies and to determine how the club will use the meeting time every other Thursday.

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
