Bachelor of Nursing

Bachelor of Nursing (4 year program)

The four-year Bachelor of Nursing program is a collaboration between Lethbridge Polytechnic and the University of Lethbridge. Students spend their first two years at LP and their last two years at the U of L. Upon completion, graduates will be eligible to write the Canadian licensure exam to become a Registered Nurse (RN).

The Program Planning Guide (PPG) outlines the courses required to complete the program, along with a sequencing plan. You should keep your Program Planning Guide up to date and refer to it for course registration and general program planning.

Tuition & fees

Due to the collaborative nature of the Bachelor of Nursing program, students pay tuition and fees to Lethbridge Polytechnic for the first two years of the program, and to the University of Lethbridge for the final two years. Refer to the tuition and fee information at both Lethbridge Polytechnic and the University of Lethbridge. Actual tuition and fee amounts will be reflected at time of registration.

All items are available at the Lethbridge Polytechnic Bookstore, as well as other vendors within the community.

Student Loans
Students are considered full-time at Lethbridge Polytechnic for the first two years and full-time at the U of L for all remaining semesters.

Questions regarding student loans can be directed to Lethbridge Polytechnic Student Awards and Financial Aid and/or the Scholarships & Student Finance Office at the University of Lethbridge.

Housing

The BN program is collaborative with the first two years completed at Lethbridge Polytechnic and the final two years completed at the University of Lethbridge. Students may want to explore residence options for the appropriate institution at the links above.
