Overview
Athletics and Recreation Services offers a wide range of week-long Summer Camps for youth aged 6–18. Choose from Aquatics, Art, Drama, Basketball, Soccer, and Ringette, or try something adventurous like Climbing, Mountain Biking, or Outdoor Adventure.
For those who enjoy variety, the Multi-Activity camp has a mix of options to keep things exciting. With such a wide range of activities, there’s sure to be a camp for everyone in the family!
Summer Camp Age Requirements
Campers must meet ONE of the following criteria to register:
- Be in the required grade for the camp as of June 2026 (e.g., Multi-Activity Camp (Grades 1-5): a child CURRENTLY in Grade 1 is eligible).
- Meet the minimum age requirement by the first day of camp (e.g., if the minimum age is 6, the child must turn 6 before camp begins).
Summer Camp Parent Information
2026 Summer Camp Parent Parking Pass>This permit is valid for LOT G only, June 29 - August 28, 2026. Permit is to be used for pick up and drop-off from camps between 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. / 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Permit must be displayed and visible on your dash to be valid. This permit has been specifically made and coded for the Summer Camps and is not transferable.

Real Time Interactive Air Quality Map>We actively monitor air quality using a sensor located at the University of Lethbridge Community Stadium. In the event that the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) exceeds 7, all summer camp activities will be moved indoors to ensure the health and safety of participants and staff.

- What is it?
- Need to drop off your child early? Pick them up late? That’s what our FREE extended care is for! Select this option during registration and drop off your child as early as 8:00 a.m. and pick them up as late as 5:00 p.m.
- What does my child do during extended care?
- Quiet activities are available for children to complete during extended care times; these may include watching videos, coloring, or reading. We encourage children to bring their own activities to complete as well.
*Please note: Extended care is available for full day camps only.
- Where is it?
- Drop-Off for all Horns Summer Camps is located at the Centre for Sport and Wellness, from either set of doors proceed to PE264 (across from Tim Hortons) – 4401 University Dr. W, Lethbridge AB
- Drop-Off for Soccer Camps is located at the University Community Stadium, located south of the University campus at 4415 University Dr. W, Lethbridge AB, T1K 3M4
- Parking
- For Centre for Sport and Wellness drop-off and pick up, a printable parking permit for Lot G can be found here.
- For Community Stadium drop-off and pick up no parking permit is required.
- Pick Up
- Photo ID is REQUIRED at time of pick up.
- Each camp has a week-at-a-glance at the point of registration for you to view which highlights some of the activities your camper will be participating in. If you would like more information please contact the Customer Service Centre Desk at 403-329-2706 or sportrec.csc@uleth.ca.
- Please note that activities are subject to change as needed depending on weather, space availability, etc.
- If your camper is swimming, they will not be permitted in the deep end of the pool until they have successfully completed the swim test of one length and are approved by a lifeguard on staff. Campers who are uncomfortable with this swimming test will remain in the shallow end with other campers and leaders.
- Lunch & Snacks
- Please NO NUTS
- There will not be access to a fridge or microwave, campers should come prepared with a packed lunch and should not expect access to purchase food during the camp
- Bathing Suit & Towel
- Necessary for full-day camps that are swimming – please refer to the week-at-a-glance for your camp
- Water Bottle
- Appropriate Outdoor Clothing (to prepare for changing weather conditions)
- Sunscreen & Bug Spray
- Hat
- Running Shoes (highly recommended)
*Please note that everything should be labelled with the camper’s name.
- Any snacks or lunch that contain nuts
- Valuables including phones, tablets, iPads, etc.
*Please note that if campers do choose to bring valuables, the University of Lethbridge is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

We take pride in providing inclusive programming for all participants. To make sure everyone has the best time, let us know if your child has any known behavioural accommodations such as ADHD or has an aid in the classroom.
Please note that if your child requires a 1:1 aid during the school day, we request they come to camp with one as well.
Expectations & Discipline Procedure
At the University of Lethbridge, we are committed to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where every camper can have the best experience possible. These guidelines help ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all campers, staff, volunteers, and camp property.
Parents and guardians are asked to review this Code of Conduct with their child(ren) before camp begins. Failure to follow these expectations may result in consequences involving the camper, parents/guardians, and camp staff.
Our goal is for every camper to feel respected, supported, and safe. Good sportsmanship and positive behaviour are encouraged at all times.
Cancelled by us:
- Programs cancelled due to insufficient enrolment or instructor availability will be fully refunded.
Cancelled by you:
- A $20 cancellation/$10 transfer fee is charged for each activity/program cancellation or transfer.
- The administration fee is not applicable on refunds due to enrollment quotas.
- Cancelling within 7 working days and 1 working day prior to the commencement of the activity/program will result in a 50% refund of original registration fee – materials portion of registration will not be refunded.
- Refunds/transfers will not be considered from 1 day prior to the commencement of the activity/program
