About
Dr. Tracy Oosterbroek (she/her) is an Associate Professor at the University of Lethbridge. She teaches undergraduate and graduate nursing courses on historical, professional and global health issues in nursing, and research methodologies from a nursing and health care context. Dr. Oosterbroek also supervises senior undergraduate and graduate nursing and health sciences students during practical in diverse acute, rural and community settings. Her current research projects focus on factors relevant to nursing education with a special interest in rurality and trauma informed care including trauma informed interventions and harm reduction from a lens that supports and encourages accessibility, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Professional & Research Experience:
Her areas of specialization include Nursing Education, trauma informed care, and harm reduction. She has been involved in the Nursing field since 1990, and she began her Nursing education on 1992 at Lethbridge Polytechnic (formerly known as Lethbridge College). Her focus areas include intensive care, surgical and trauma patient care. Dr. Oosterbroek's areas of specialization are Medical and Surgical Nursing.
