Lisa Johnson

Lisa is a nursing instructor in the NESA Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Nursing After Degree programs. She is the current coordinator of the Simulation Health Centre at the University of Lethbridge. Lisa is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that prepare nursing students for the realities of clinical practice. Her goal is to bridge theory and practice in ways that build confidence, strengthen clinical judgment, and support students in becoming thoughtful, compassionate healthcare professionals.

Education:

• Master of Science in Nursing (Nursing Education focus) - Walden University '13
• Post RN Bachelor of Nursing (with Distinction) - Athabasca University '09
• Nursing Diploma (with Honours) - Lethbridge College '01

Professional Experience:

• Registered Nurse working in post secondary nursing education.
• Clinical background and experience in rural acute care (ER/inpatient/urgent care), medical-surgical, pediatrics, mental health, nursing leadership and management.
• Registered Nurse - Active CRNA Registration since 2001
• Canadian Certified Simulation Nurse Educator (CASN/CNEI)
