About

Jenna McDonald (she/her) is a Registered Nurse (RN), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She has over ten years of experience in community health nursing with a professional background grounded in health promotion, maternal-child health, and community-based care. Jenna currently serves as an instructor in the Faculty of Health Sciences, where she is committed to critical inquiry, social justice, and equity-oriented approaches to health education. She has been instructing our Nursing and Health Sciences students since 2023.

Education:

  • Master of Arts with a dual focus in Equity and Community Studies, Athabasca University
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
  • Bachelor of Nursing, Brandon University

Jenna has over 10 years of experience as a Registered Nurse at Lethbridge Public Health. Within this role, 6 years as board-certified lactation consultant and member of the perinatal team, which involved prenatal classes, parent and baby classes and Better Beginnings clinics.
