Bernadine Wojtowicz

Bernadine Wojtowicz is a Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree in nursing completed in 2012. She has worked at the University of Lethbridge since 2006, with a brief leave (January 2016 to June 2018) and is the Chair the Bachelor of Nursing Program at Lethbridge (College) Polytechnic. Bernie is currently an Instructor III within the Faculty of Health Sciences, with a focus on teaching in the nursing program and some Health Sciences electives. Her nursing and research interests lie mainly in community mental health care, crisis intervention, and stigma reduction.

Experience:

Bernie has been a Registered Nurse for 33 years, focused on mental health nursing, having worked in acute psychiatry, psychiatric rehabilitation, and community mental health nursing at. I am also currently engaged in casual nursing practice in mental health and have provided in-services to various community agencies on medication administration, crisis management, behaviour management, crisis intervention, and general mental health knowledge.
