Programs & Courses

The Department of Political Science participates in the delivery of both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The Department of Political Science offers a major in political science for the 40-course Bachelor of Arts (BA) or the Bachelor of Arts and Science (BASc) degree programs. As a political science major, you can also do a Combined BA/BEd or BA/BMgt. Alternatively, you can a general major in the social sciences and select political science as one of your three streams. Students selecting these degree programs will have the opportunity to take a large variety of courses.

The Department also participates in the delivery of the Canadian studies, and urban and regional studies majors. Canadian studies focuses on developing a deeper appreciation of our Canadian identity across a wide range of disciplines. Urban and regional studies focuses on the analysis of the physical, social, economic and political factors that shape our cities and regions.

For more information on any of the degrees listed above, review the Program Planning Guide(s) that aligns with your admission year (e.g. 2019/2020 BA Political Science) or speak to an Academic Advisor.
