Courses for the Indigenous Student Success Certificate
Students in the ISSC take first-year courses in both semesters. There are core courses that students take together as a cohort and there are also electives that the student can choose from.
Courses taken in the Fall (September-December) can include:
- Quest for Success
- Preparation for Essential Mathematics
- Anthropology
- Foundations of Biology
- Mathematical Reasoning and Applications
- Library Science (Information Literacy)
- Preparation for Academic Reading and Writing
Courses in the Spring (January-April) can include:
- Quest for Success
- Bridging Cultures: Two-Eyed Seeing
- Introductory Chemistry
- Introduction to Environmental Science
- Essential to Mathematics
- Indigenous Studies 1000
- Introduction to Health Science 1000
- Indigenous Art Studio 2350
