Courses for the Indigenous Student Success Certificate

Students in the ISSC take first-year courses in both semesters. There are core courses that students take together as a cohort and there are also electives that the student can choose from.

Courses taken in the Fall (September-December) can include:

  • Quest for Success
  • Preparation for Essential Mathematics
  • Anthropology
  • Foundations of Biology
  • Mathematical Reasoning and Applications
  • Library Science (Information Literacy)
  • Preparation for Academic Reading and Writing

Courses in the Spring (January-April) can include:

  • Quest for Success
  • Bridging Cultures: Two-Eyed Seeing
  • Introductory Chemistry
  • Introduction to Environmental Science
  • Essential to Mathematics
  • Indigenous Studies 1000
  • Introduction to Health Science 1000
  • Indigenous Art Studio 2350
