Kristy Eagle Bear

Oki Niisto Ahnakok (Hello, my name is) Kristy Eagle Bear and I am Niisitapi (Blackfoot) from Kainaiwa (The Blood Reserve). I graduated from the U of L with my first degree in Psychology and minor in Anthropology in 2022, and I am currently working on my second degree in New Media. One of my favorite courses during my first degree was Indigenous Art Studio I & II with Jackson Two Bears and Migueltzinta Solis where I was able to reconnect not only with my creative side, but my Blackfoot identity and they always encouraged to make my art bigger. I’ve always had a creative side that range from little doodles in the corner of my notes, acrylic paintings, collages, video art projects, small sculptures, and beaded earrings. I look forward to working with the Zone as a Student Support Assistant and seeing what creative projects other students are working on.
