Position Details
Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications
  • Develop and implement an integrated marketing plan to promote Agility programs, events, student opportunities, and outcomes.
  • Manage Agility’s digital presence, including social media, web content, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
  • Create engaging content (graphics, videos, student features, etc) aligned with Agility’s mission and brand.
  • Collaborate with University of Lethbridge communications teams to ensure cohesive messaging and institutional visibility.

 


Event Planning & Coordination
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute Agility-hosted events such as pitch competitions, workshops, networking sessions, summits, and community showcases.
  • Oversee logistics including booking venues, catering, technical needs, registration, and onsite facilitation.
  • Partner with students, faculty, and external stakeholders to design inclusive and impactful programming.
  • Support post-event follow-up including evaluation, storytelling, and reporting.

Partnerships & Student Engagement
  • Build relationships with student clubs, faculties, and external partners to expand Agility’s reach and impact.
  • Support the promotion of funding programs, fellowships, and innovation zone services to current and prospective students.
  • Help recruit and coordinate student ambassadors.

Salary
$25.00 per hour.
Position Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination (post-secondary or non-profit environment an asset).
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills with proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms and digital campaigns.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and student-centered programming.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

 


Assets
  • Knowledge of the University of Lethbridge or post-secondary ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with experiential learning, innovation spaces, or startup communities.
  • Experience with basic website editing (e.g. Drupal, WordPress) or CRM/email marketing tools.
