One of the key purposes of the ULRASA is to "promote and safeguard the status and privileges of retired academic staff" of the University of Lethbridge. To that end, the process of negotiating post-retirement support began in the early 2010s and culminated in December 2019 with the signing of our first official "Memorandum of Reciprocity" codifying the post-retirement support to be provided by the UofL to retired academic staff.
This Memorandum was reviewed and reaffirmed with the University in 2024.
