As retired academic staff, pensions in retirement are comprised of your UAPP pension as well as public pensions in the form of CPP, OAS, and, if you meet the requirements, GIS.

The UAPP pension nicely kicks in when you retire from the University and there is not a lot for you to do that has not already been facilitated by the UofL Human Resources department. CPP/OAS/GIS are different in that you have to make some decisions about when you want to start these public pension income streams, the default condition being when you turn age 65.
