Programs & Courses

The Department of Philosophy delivers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. At the undergraduate level, the Department offers a Major in Philosophy for the 40-course Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Arts and Science (BASc) degree programs. Alternatively, students can choose to do a general major in the humanities and select philosophy as one of three streams. They can also choose philosophy as a BA major for the combined BA/BMgt program.

Students can also declare a Minor in Philosophy in any 40-course BA, BSc, or BASc program by completing a minimum of six courses in philosophy or logic with at least one at the 3000-level.

The University of Lethbridge's School of Graduate Studies offers graduate programs, at the MA and PhD levels, in over 60 disciplines. So why not consider pursuing grad school right here in Lethbridge? Learn more about graduate studies here.

For more information on the above degrees, see the Program Planning Guide for the current admission year (e.g. 2024/2025 Philosophy BA) or speak to an Academic Advisor.
