Update: The AMETHYST Program is not currently accepting new applicants. More information on student opportunities will be coming soon.

The NSERC CREATE AMETHYST Program funds exceptional trainees at all levels: Undergraduate, Graduate and Postdoctoral Fellowships.

Trainees are selected on the basis of talent, suitability for working on interdisciplinary research, educational track record, and letters of recommendations from previous teachers. A GPA requirement of 3.00 (B.Sc.), 3.20 (M.Sc.) and 3.50 (Ph.D.) will be established for student applicants.

Please see the information below on how to apply for the different AMETHYST trainee levels available.

Undergraduate Application (B.Sc.):

Available undergraduate positions are run in coordination with the University of Lethbridge Arts & Science Cooperative Education Office. Admittance into the A&S Co-op program is required to become an AMETHYST undergraduate trainee. Available AMETHYST positions will be posted on theCo-op Job Board.

Graduate Application (M.Sc., Ph.D.):

Students interested in completing a graduate degree in the AMETHYST Program are invited to fill out an application form for admittance into the University of Lethbridge School of Graduate Studies (SGS), which is required for admittance.
