Student Involvement

The Alberta RNA Research and Training Institute is dedicated to training the next generation of RNA researchers and synthetic biologists. From undergraduate to graduate studies, ARRTI welcomes students who are interested in pursuing hands-on research projects.

ARRTI members also participate in the Heritage Youth Researcher Summer Program (HYRS), allowing high school students who have just completed grade 11 a chance to experience a university level research lab. Finally, ARRTI helps support both high school and collegiate teams in the International Genetically Engineered Machine competition (iGEM).

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
