Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees are assessed to student accounts on the first day of classes each term.
Students can view registration charges as soon as they have completed registration. Please view your Registration Fee Assessment on your student Bridge account.
Your individual Account Summary by Term can be viewed on the Bridge for a detailed report of your charges.

You can view upcoming estimated charges when you have registered on the registration fee assessment. This page may be printed by using your browser print options.
Any registration changes will show on your Student Account the following business day.
Registration charges for the Fall, Winter and Summer terms will appear on your Student Account the first day of classes.
The first business day of each month, interest will be applied on your outstanding Student Account Balance.
Any outstanding amounts are charged interest at a rate of the bank prime rate plus five percent per annum. The current rate is 12.20% per annum. This rate is updated on a yearly basis each May, and subject to change based on current prime rates.
If you are covered by another Health and/or Dental plan, you may be able to opt out of the Students' Union Health and/or Dental plan. Find the opt out details on the Students' Union Health and Dental Opt-Out page.

Holds can be put on your account when action is required by the student to complete a specific task(s).
Holds may prevent you from registering for future terms, receiving your transcripts or affect your eligibility to apply to graduate. All outstanding fees with the University must be paid in full by applicable fee deadlines.
You can view any holds on your account by navigating to the Bridge on the Student Dashboard under the Student Account: Account Summary by Term, Account Detail by Term, Account Information, Statement and Payment History all display an icon named “Holds” in the upper right part of the screen that can be clicked to view if you have any holds on your account.
The following are examples of holds that the University issues.

Admissions Hold: Documents are required to finalize your Application for Admission. Contact the Information Centre (SU140; 403-320-5700).
Cash Office Hold: Cash Holds are put on accounts when there is a balance owing after the Fee Deadline has passed. Contact the Cash Office (AH144; 403-329-2469; E-mail: (cash.office@uleth.ca).
Health Hold-A/R: International students, both admitted and in ESL/EAP, must present proof of basic health insurance coverage. Contact the Health Centre (SU020; 403-329-2484).
Health Hold - Registration: You must present proof of basic health insurance coverage or you owe for services rendered which are not covered by your insurance. Contact the Health Centre (SU020; 403-329-2484).
Registrar's Hold: Contact the Help Line (SU140; 403-329-2052).
Electronic Transcript Hold: Students who have academic records prior to Fall 1991 will have this hold on their record. This prevents your transcript from being sent electronically to institutions who can accept transcripts electronically. Your transcript will be sent in paper form. Please contact the Registrar's Office for a copy of your transcript (SU140; 403-320-5700).
Library Fines Hold: You have library fines. To remove the hold contact the Cash Office (AH144; 403-329-2469; E-mail:(cash.office@uleth.ca). For details on the hold contact the Library (L1007; 403-329-2265).
Study Permit Hold: Bring your study permit to the International Centre (SU040), or email a copy of it to international.advice@uleth.ca. If you have applied for an extension of your study permit but have not yet received a response from IRCC, please contact the International Centre for assistance (403-329-2053).
Sexual Violence Prevention Education Training Hold: You have not completed the mandatory training. Click here to complete the training on Moodle. For more information visit Student FAQ or email svtraining.info@uleth.ca
Student loan amounts for tuition are now sent directly to the student and do not come to the university. Please complete all loan documents to ensure loan funding is received prior to payment deadlines.
Sponsorships, Co-Op, grad payroll deduction or other payment arrangements can be viewed on the Account Detail by Term Page under Memo Balance. These arrangements COUNT as a payment towards fee deadlines for the term it is set up.
To register for future terms, receive transcripts, and be eligible to apply to graduate, all outstanding fees must be paid in full by applicable fee deadlines.
Blackfeet Nation Tribal members may apply for a differential tuition fee rate. Please contact the office of the Vice Provost, Students for further information. The application form is here: Tuition Differential Application Form.

Tax Forms
Each calendar year, a T2202 form is created and is accessible to students who are enrolled and have paid eligible post-secondary costs during the calendar year. A student should maintain and utilize this form when completing their personal tax return, which certifies their eligibility to take advantage of any Canada Revenue Agency Income Tax Act tax credits available related to these costs.

Log in to the Bridge to view and/or print you T4A/T4 Scholarship and Employment Tax Slips by please visit the Bridge -> Student Dashboard -> Student Account -> T4A/T4 Scholarship and Employment Tax Slips.
Fees for these years have to be paid in full to be able to view the form.

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has made a change as it pertains to the T2202 - Tuition and Enrollment certificates. Students are now required to include their social insurnace number (SIN) on the form starting with the 2019 tax year.
To add your SIN: please visit the Bridge -> Personal Information -> Update Social Insurance Number (SIN)
