2024 Bridge Prize
Celebrating short story fiction writing at the post-secondary level in Canada
The Bridge Prize is presented by the School of Liberal Education at the University of Lethbridge. The Bridge Prize is a biennial short story writing competition that awards over $10,000 in prizes to the winner and three finalists.
Founding sponsors included The Walrus and Munro's Books of Victoria. The 2022 and 2020 competitions received over 500 combined submissions in total from students attending 60 post-secondary institutions across Canada.
The 2024 Bridge Prize is now open for submissions. Please review the FAQ and Submissions Guidelines before submitting your story.

Each winning author will also receive a $200 gift card courtesy of Munro’s Books.
