Parking Permits

uLethbridge Parking Permits| FAQ

GENERAL STUDENTS:

Mark Your Calendars!

2026 Fall General Student Parking Permits Go On Sale Soon
Starting Monday, August 10, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., parking permits for the 2026-27 academic year will be available for purchase online through parking.uleth.ca.

This year, we’re replacing the previous parking lottery with a new, simplified permit sale model. Registered students will be able to view and purchase the permit type that best fits their needs — subject to availability in Lots F, E, or N. Available permits will be clearly listed on the website, allowing students to purchase them as they become available, with no lottery or waitlist required.

This new approach gives students greater flexibility, transparency, and control over their parking options. You’ll know immediately what’s available and can select the permit that best matches your schedule and preferences. Eliminating the lottery and waitlist also reduces uncertainty and makes it easier to purchase permits quickly and efficiently throughout the year.

More information, including detailed FAQs, will be posted on the parking website closer to the sale date.
To complete your purchase, you will need your Bridge credentials to log in. Please ensure you have your vehicle information readily available before starting the purchase process.

NOTE: Your license plate will now be your permit. No physical permit is required to be picked up.

NOTE: Only one car linked to a permit is allowed on to park at a time. Any other vehicles associated with the permit must pay for the day by using the parking dispensers or by using the HonkMobile, if both vehicles are found on campus both will receive a citation.

RESIDENCE STUDENTS:

2026 Fall Residence Parking Permits Available Soon

Parking permits for the 2026–27 academic year will go on sale beginning Monday, August 10, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Permits can be purchased online through parking.uleth.ca.

This year, Residence students will no longer need to request a parking permit through the Housing Check-In process. Instead, students can purchase permits directly

online through a new, simplified permit sales system.

Students will only be able to view and purchase permits available for the residence area in which they live:

  • Lot N – Available to University Hall (UHall) residents and as an overflow option when Lot R permits are sold out.
  • Lot R – Available to students living in South Campus residences.

Available permit types will be clearly displayed on the website and can be purchased while supplies last. If your preferred parking lot is sold out, you will need to select an available Lot N permit and email parking@uleth.ca to be added to a waitlist.

To complete your purchase, you will need your Bridge credentials to log in. Please ensure you have your vehicle information readily available before starting the purchase process.

EMPLOYEES:

New employees should contact parking@uleth.ca to explore permit options and complete their payroll deduction form.

Your license plate is your permit, no physical permit is required to be picked up.

STAFF:

Staff members in need of purchasing a parking permit are to email parking@uleth.ca for permit options.

Faculty, staff and Students may purchase a general parking permit in any available permit parking lot on campus, except those areas reserved for resident students.
