Campus Mobility Services operates as a full-cost recovery operation, under the Associate Vice-President, (Facilities). Revenues are primarily generated through parking fees and are used to maintain all roadways, parking lots, pathways and sidewalks on the university campus. Additional funds are also set-aside in anticipation of major improvements to roadway, parking lot and pedestrian infrastructure.
Campus Mobility Services provides parking permits for campus parking. Customers have the option of purchasing yearly, eight month, semester, monthly or daily permits. Short term and visitor parking is provided in various lots around campus at pay and display permit dispensers or at parking meters.
In addition to paying all departmental operation expenses, Campus Mobility Services is responsible for maintenance and improvement of all roadways, parking lots, pathways and sidewalks on the university campus. At year-end, any excess funds are placed in reserve for completion of future related projects.
In an agreement with the City of Lethbridge, the University enforces the City of Lethbridge Traffic Bylaw. University Security personnel patrol parking areas and issue tickets to violators under the City Bylaw, while the City administers the fine collection and court process.
