Scholarship Funds

The University of Lethbridge Alumni Association is proud to support a variety of student scholarships.

University of Lethbridge Alumni Association Award

Value: $500 (2 awarded per year)
Eligibility: Must be children of founding members or children of graduate members of the U of L Alumni Association.
Criteria: Academic achievement, conditions may apply, please inquire.
Application: May 1

25th Anniversary Alumni Association Award

Value: $500 (1 awarded per year)
Eligibility: A minimum of 20 semester courses.
Criteria: Academic achievement, involvement in campus or community activities such as: clubs, volunteer organizations, or sports.
Application: May 1

University of Lethbridge Alumni Association Scholarship in Nursing

Value: $1000 (1 awarded per year; dispersed in two equal payments)
Eligibility: A minimum of 9 graded courses in the B.N. program, at least five of these taken at the U of L.
Criteria: Academic achievement and proficiency in the Nursing Practice course(s).
Application: May 1

Dr. Helen Manyfingers/Alumni Association Education Award

Value: $1,000 (1 awarded per year)
Eligibility: Third or fourth year student enrolled in any undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Education, or a second year student in the BEd after an Approved Degree program. Must be a registered member of the Blood Tribe.
Criteria: Financial need. Academic achievement.
Application: May 1

University of Lethbridge Alumni Association - Calgary Chapter Scholarship

Value: Variable (first award Fall 2004)
Eligibility: Any student continuing in a Bachelor of Management program and attending classes at the Calgary campus. Must be registered in classes in both the Fall and Spring semesters, with a minimum of one class per semester.
Criteria (equally weighted): Academic achievement (a minimum grade point average of 3.00). Contribution to the University of Lethbridge Calgary campus community and/or contribution to the community at large.
Application: Required

John Gill Memorial Bursary

Value: $500 (Supported by money raised from the annual John Gill Memorial Golf Tournament)
Eligibility: Continuing student in any undergraduate degree program.
Criteria: Financial need.
Application: May 1
