What types of Parking are available?

Visitor and short term parking is provided in various Pay&Park lots on campus.
When parking in a short term parking, please ensure that you park within a designated parking stall first before completing your purchase using the Pay&Park dispenser or the HonkMobile web/app.

All parking stalls for Pay&Park zones are lined in blue, with blue posted signage. (Campus Maps & Enforcement Times List)

University of Lethbridge uses pay-by-plate parking technology for hourly parking. Parking dispensers are located in all Pay&Park areas on campus, and one is located in the Centre for Sports and Wellness adjacent to the rock climbing wall.

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Park in any Pay&Park lot
  2. Go to a parking dispenser
  3. Enter your license plate number
  4. Select your parking time
  5. Pay with credit card or coins (no change given)

No need to display a receipt - the system electronically records your parking information using your license plate.

PARKING LOTMIN/MAX

Lot H1 hr. - 1 hr. max

  2. Set Up Your Account: Create a profile and store your vehicle and payment information for faster future transactions
  3. Pay for Parking: Use the app to quickly purchase parking at any University of Lethbridge Pay&Park lot

If you require accessible parking on campus you must be in possession of a valid Provincial Disability placard. If using the Provincial placard on campus it must be registered with Campus Mobility Services, clearly displayed for enforcement officers to validate, and must have an active UofL parking permit or hourly Pay&Park session.

An individual that holds a Disability placard and is in need of a University of Lethbridge parking permit will be charged the cost of a Lot N permit (lowest price on campus). Although the individual will hold a Lot N permit, they will be able to utilize any of the accessibility stalls around campus.

To register your Disability placard, send a picture of the placard and the pink Provincial registration certificate to Campus Mobility Services.

Please be advised all accessibility stalls are on a first-come first-served basis, there is no guarantee that a stall in your preferred lot will be available. For any accessibility concerns please call Campus Mobility Services at 403-329-2602.

Campus Mobility Services offer two permit options for Motorcycles on campus:

Option 1: Motorcycle users requiring to park only within the Motorcycle designated areas are required to purchase a campus Motorcycle Parking Permit. Designated areas are provided in Lots C, N, O and P only.

Option 2: Motorcycle users who hold a valid University Parking Permit, may park their motorcycle within their designated permit area, and within the Motorcycle designated areas on campus. The motorcycle license plate must be registered with Campus Mobility Services. Motorcycles not registered with Campus Mobility Services will be ticketed and/or towed.

Motorcycles parked in Pay&Park areas are subject to the posted parking fees and enforcement times.

Motorized scooters are subject to the same regulations as motorcycles.

Bicycle parking is strategically located across the campus. Bicycles must be parking in supplied bike stands. Bicycles attached to trees or outside of designated stands maybe removed and placed in storage. To retrieve your bicycle after it has been removed, contact Security Services and provide identification and proof of ownership.
There is no charge to use the outdoor bicycle racks.

Bicycle lockers may be rented from Sport & Rec. Services.

University of Lethbridge installed two EV charging stations in Lot S next to the Science Commons building. For those who wish to access the stations, there are now 4 available parking stalls that have been converted to accommodate this change. These parking stalls are to facilitate the use of the charging stations only. Only electric vehicles may access them, and only when charging. Signs have been installed to highlight these regulations.

Non-electric vehicles attempting to access these parking stalls will be ticketed.
