Time Management

The idea of managing your time may bring initial thoughts of rigidity and control- of being forced to account for every minute of your day.

It doesn’t have to be that way! Together, we’ll try to find a better way of ensuring that you have the time to do the things that you need to do as well as the things you want to do.

Generally, you want to be putting in about 3 hours of homework for every 1 hour of class. Break your study time down into 50 minute "chunks" with 10 minute breaks. This will help you stay focused during your study time.

Many students find it helpful to use the following document to create a weekly schedule. If you would like help with creating a plan that works for you, we are more than happy to work with you to do that. Weekly schedule 2.pdf

We have also created a time management calculator to help you determine about how much to study each week. Time Management Calculator.pdf
Please note that the amount of time each individual should spend studying may vary.

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
