COVID-19 Graduate Admissions FAQ

The University of Lethbridge recognizes that these are unprecedented times. As a result, our guiding principle will be that the impact of COVID-19 should not disadvantage any applicant to programs offered by the University of Lethbridge. All of our programs will have the flexibility in their admissions processes to ensure that this principle is being upheld.

It has been a challenging time for all of us but know this: our students and their success remain the focus of all we do. Your success is our priority. This FAQ was developed to answer some questions you may have and to put your mind at ease. Please contact the relevant graduate programs office if you have additional questions.

The University of Lethbridge is continuing its work with students, Faculties and campus units to finalize details on what a significantly expanded personal experience will look like in Fall 2021. See here for the full Fall 2021 update.

Please see the International Center webpage for information regarding how our COVID-19 response will impact international students. Please contact the International Centre (international.new@uleth.ca for incoming students; international@uleth.ca for prospective students) if you have questions relating to study permits or immigration.

All applicants, regardless of citizenship or country of origin, must satisfy the English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements for graduate students. Please visit uleth.ca/ross/admissions/grad/elr for information about the most current ELP requirements and the ways by which this requirement can be met.

You will need to submit your complete application by the relevant application deadline to be considered for admission. A list of all application and document deadlines can be found here.

Most Offers of Admission that have expired are eligible to be reactivated. Please email the relevant graduate programs office if your Offer of Admission has expired and you would like it reactivated.

Please contact the relevant graduate programs office to discuss options for deferring your admission. A request to defer an Offer of Admission to a graduate program at the University of Lethbridge is program-specific and term-specific.

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
