General/Brief Description of task

Testing of Glycol System

Frequency of task performedYearly in February
Hazards Identified#2 – Chemical Exposure
#8 – Eye Injury
#11 – Slips / Falls
P.P.E. required: Special tools required (if any)
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Safety Glasses
Safe Work Procedure
  • Visually inspect worksite for possible hazards
  • Ensure any Glycol that is spilled on floor is cleaned up immediately to prevent slips and falls as Glycol has very oily characteristics.
  • Use extreme caution around equipment as Glycol systems are hot.
  • Refer to MSDS and WHMIS labels for Glycol Inhibitor for any necessary handling precautions
  • All Personal Protective Equipment must be worn
  • Refer to PM# B007-GLY-ALL as found in Appendix ‘B’
