Tribute & Memorial Awards

A memorial or tribute gift is a meaningful way to remember a loved one, and can even create a legacy centred around their goals or values. This gift can support students, research or another area of the university.

Tributes mark special occasions at any stage of life: graduations, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or retirement. When you make a memorial or tribute gift, the University notifies the next of kin on file or the honouree of your gift, unless otherwise requested. We will share your name and address but not reveal the dollar amount of the donation.

Creating a named annually funded memorial award is one way you can choose to honour the memory of a loved one by pooling donations made in their memory to support students. It's not always easy to figure out all the details around a memorial award when grieving the loss of a loved one, and we are here to assist you if you choose to go in this direction.

*Memorial and tribute gifts are accepted in accordance with the University of Lethbridge Donation and Sponsorship Policy.

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
