Over 700 Canadian and International graduate students pursue their passions for research and teaching at the University of Lethbridge. I want to thank you for your interest in graduate studies at the University of Lethbridge. As always, but particularly during this uncertain and unprecedented time we look forward to supporting you every step of your graduate journey.

We foster a supportive and student-centered environment characterized by generous student funding, numerous opportunities for professional development, opportunities for teaching and publishing, and the opportunity to work with world-class faculty members who are conducting research at the frontiers of knowledge and creativity – we value interdisciplinary research and encourage multiple perspectives, theories and tools to build upon research. Our liberal education philosophy means that while your graduate program focuses on depth in a particular area, you are surrounded by individuals with a breadth of interests and perspectives. As well, our connections to the community help to frame the activities and research that we carry out. As one of very few institutions in Canada with this philosophy, I feel that this is a uniqueness to be valued, and that will make you stand out.

I hope you will take this opportunity to explore our website where you will find detailed information about our programs, our funding opportunities, and our ongoing commitment to a quality experience for all graduate students.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jacqueline Rice

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
