Professional Development
The School of Graduate Studies provides graduate students with professional development opportunities designed to support career success during and beyond their graduate studies. Through workshops, events, resources, and experiential learning opportunities, students can develop professional and transferable skills that complement their academic training and support their personal and professional goals.
In partnership with organizations on and off campus, SGS offers a diverse range of learning experiences. Many opportunities are eligible for recognition on the MyExperience Transcript, helping students showcase their skills and experiences to future employers.
The School of Graduate Studies' approach to professional development is guided by a professional skills framework developed by the Canadian Association for Graduate Studies (CAGS), which supports a common national approach to the development and recognition of professional skills among graduate students.
