Space Management and Allocation Policy
Space is one of the university's most valued and expensive resources. Campus Development track and manages space allocation across campus, from student study areas to teaching theatres and research labs, ensuring thoughtful planning that balances diverse needs.
Our institutional space policy defines how space resources are allocated, maximizes their use, and establishes accountability for their management. Campus Development is mandated to periodically assess space allocations, maintain the master inventory of all campus space, and make recommendations to Administration. Unit-level space managers are required to notify Campus Development in advance of any proposed changes to the assignment or use of existing space.
