FMSystems - FMS:workplace

A Facilities Management System – FMSystems Workplace (FMS) is an integrated solution of spatial attributes from building floor plans created in AutoCAD and the properties within. Managed by Campus Development, FMS specializes in space management, optimization, assets, planning, and reporting to improve the efficacy of how our spaces function and are allocated. Driven by campus buildings and then floors to rooms, users are able to view building infrastructure, rooms, and occupants and assist with departmental planning. This standalone environment incorporates data from other campus databases in Human Resources, Financial Services, Registrar’s Office, and Facilities Asset software.

Campus Development maintains AutoCAD drawing library for all campus buildings and land infrastructure. Actual space metrics are connected via our digital CAD library drawings and then published to the FMS. When renovations, space utilization, or occupancy information changes our FMS database is updated.

Reporting is also a function of FMS and provides preformatted and customized reports to be generated for each unit based on their needs. Reports can be automated or scheduled for specific users based on their requirements for campus users external to Facilities.

We are working hard to launch FMS to the larger University community and those curious are encouraged to contact planning@uleth.ca to request access.
