October 26, 2026:  The General Faculties Council Research Planning Committee approved revisions to the Travel Fund Procedures to clarify applicant eligibility and to explicitly include teaching-stream cohorts following ratification of the 2024–2028 Collective Agreement.

June 2, 2025: The General Faculties Council Research Planning Committee approved the revised Travel Fund Procedures.

  • Summary of Revisions:

    • Updated approval authority process; future procedural changes to be reported annually to GFC (§1).
    • Clarified application limit: one application per competition year, up to the award maximum (§4.2).
    • Editorial updates.

May 6, 2019: Editorial revisions.

December 14, 2015: Approved by the General Faculties Council.

As outlined in Article 30. Faculty Handbook. “The President shall establish procedures to disburse the travel funds based on recommendations from the General Faculties Council in consultation with the Association. These procedures shall include a statement of criteria and priorities for allocation.”
