Summary of Revisions
- Updated Definitions to ensure clarity across the Policy (§2).
- Guidance on expenditures, including when and how expenditures can be claimed (§3.4–3.5).
- Clarification of Eligible Employees (§4).
- Members are now directed to Appendix A for eligible professional supplement expenses and Appendix B for eligible professional allowance expenses, improving ease of access and understanding.
- Streamlined claim procedures by directing users to the Travel and Business Expense Policy, reducing redundancy (§7.1). A flowchart has also been added to guide members in determining eligible expenses (Appendix C).
- Updated Claim Submission conditions and deadlines with new conditions effective July 1, 2025 (§7.2-§7.3).
- Introduced guidelines for unspent balances, encouraging submissions by May 31 for final approval by June 30 (§8.1.2).
- The Director of Financial Operations and Associate Vice President (Finance) now has the authority to approve policy exceptions to align with the Travel and Business Expense Policy and Procedures (§10).
