Fall 2013 Professional Semester III Expression of Interest

You are identified as a student who may be eligible to do a Professional Semester III Internship in the Fall of 2013.

Zone 6 Fall PS III placements are made in Secondary level classrooms (grades 7-12). The exceptions to secondary level placements for Fall are:

  • BFA (Art & Drama) students;
  • BMus (Music) students;
  • Native Education Majors (or those students who have successfully completed the pre-requisite course for the Native Education internship);
  • Early Childhood Education Specialization (for those students who have successfully completed the pre-requisite courses); and
  • Students approved for Out of Zone or International placements.

We ask all eligible students to complete section I of this form, which is due by March 4, 2013.

As you may be aware, students are NOT reimbursed for travel or accommodation for PS III Internships. In light of this, we would appreciate your help in determining where we might be able to make a placement for you. Kindly assist us by completing the following.
Please identify any areas that you would be able to be placed in for your PS III Internship.
POSSIBLE PARTIALLY FUNDED PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
We are currently exploring the availability of partially funded opportunities (up to $2,000.00/student), for students electing to do their internships in rural schools, or in Zone 6 schools that are near or outside of the commutable distance area on the Zone 6 map.
