Parkinson Canada Doctoral Fellowship
To be used to conduct research in Parkinson's disease at an Alberta-based University. Research can be basic or clinical.
Value:
- $50,000 for one year
Eligibility:
- Open to Canadian, permanent residents and international PhD students.
- Candidate must have already completed a MSc or PhD graduate program
- Biosketch of Applicant (NIH format preferred)
- Biosketch of Supervisor (NIH format preferred)
- Project Description (maximum three pages), including the following sections:
- Background and rationale
- Research objectives
- Research methodology
- Project timeline (covering activities to be completed within the one-year award period)
- Projected impact
- Description of Supervisor Resources and Support (maximum one page):
- Detailed overview of local resources supporting the feasibility of the proposed research within the award period
- For clinical fellows, an outline of clinical responsibilities and workload
- Lay Summary of the Project (500–900 words)
Application Deadline:
- The deadline for application is Friday, March 20, 2026 and awards will be announced by June 1, 2026.
