Research - Environmental Analytical Chemistry

To understand the chemistry occurring in wildfire smoke, the emissions of toxicants at the air/water interface, and the mechanisms which cause suspended liquid or solid particles (particulate matter) to cause respiratory stress. The research group utilizes a wide range of analytical approaches, including controlled laboratory experiments that simulate the environment, environmental sampling, field measurements, and data mining.
