Research expertise

I am a historian of the North American West with particular expertise in the history of the Canada-US-Mexico borderlands, the history of Southern Alberta, Indigenous history, and the intersecting histories of race, gender, and sexuality in the West. I have taught graduate level seminars in postcolonialism/settler colonialism, queer feminist theory, methodology, and the historiography of the North American West, and supervised or served on graduate committees in those fields.
