Prior to Dr. Charlotte Brenner's appointment at the University of Lethbridge, she worked as a general and special educator for the Surrey School District for 26 years. Charlotte loves spending time outdoors hiking, skiing and paddling.
Charlotte's research and practice is focused on creating inclusive teaching and learning environments for students, teacher candidates and teachers. Currently, she is investigating supports and constraints for teacher candidates’ perceptions of authenticity and their understandings of diversity and inclusion.
Charlotte's research interests include investigating teacher candidates' beliefs about inclusive teaching practices, teacher candidates' perceptions of authenticity and supports and constraints for teacher candidates' sense of self-determined motivation as they develop and implement inclusive teaching practices.
