Where to Study On Campus

Quiet Study Areas

There are a number of designated quiet study spaces on campus. These spaces will be identified with the Quiet Study Area Sign. Those who are in a designated Quiet Study Area are asked to please respect your fellow learners by keeping conversations quiet and to a minimum. The following areas have designated Quiet Study Areas:
Library & Learning Commons | located on the 1st and 2nd floor of the North Campus
Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 7:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday: Closed

North Campus: Floors 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

Social Spaces

There are also a number of social spaces where students can chat with friends or group members. Those who are in Social Spaces are asked be respectful of noise levels as classes and meeting are in session and in close proximity. The following are Social Spaces:

North Campus: Floors 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
South Campus: Floors 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Project and Study Rooms

Students at the University of Lethbridge Calgary Campus have access to use and book project rooms located throughout Bow Valley College. Those who are using the project rooms are asked to please be respectful of noise levels as classes and meetings are in session in close proximity. We also ask that you do not move furniture into or out of a project or study room and to place your recyclables and waste in the appropriate containers.

There are 14 study rooms located across campus: 6 in the South Campus and 8 in the North Campus. All study rooms have TV monitors, whiteboard, and HDMI and VGA connections. To book a study room please visit: http://studyroom.mybvc.ca/.

Note: You may book a maximum of 2 hours in one day. Bookings may be made up to 1 month in advance.

The Library & Learning Commons has 13 project rooms: 12 on the 2nd floor and 1 on the 1st floor. All 2nd floor rooms have TV monitors that can be connected to laptops. To book a project room please visit: http://bowvalleycollege.libcal.com/booking/rooms.

Note: You may book a maximum of 2 hours in one day. Bookings may be made up to 2 weeks in advance.

Where to Study off Campus

The Alberta Library (TAL) Card:

The TAL card enables students to borrow materials, study and work on projects from the over 300 participating libraries in Alberta, including public, government, and post-secondary libraries. List of participants: http://www.thealbertalibrary.ab.ca/members

Council of Prairie and Pacific University Libraries (COPPUL) Card:

The COPPUL card enables students to borrow materials, study and work on projects from the 39 COPPUL university libraries located across Canada. List of participants: http://www.coppul.ca/organizations
The Central Library is the nearest Calgary Public Library to the Calgary Campus
