Condolence Notice - Jay Johnston

The University of Lethbridge expresses its sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Jay Johnston, who passed away tuesday, November 9, 2021.

John A. “Jay” Johnston

Jay was hired in 1980 as the first head of the Scene Shop for the Department of Drama. For over 30 years, Jay acted as carpenter, properties master, scenic painter and designer for Department of Drama and Department of Music productions.

Condolence Notice — Donald Young

The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the friends and family of Don Young, who passed away on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the age of 74.

An agrologist with Alberta Agriculture, Young was a dedicated supporter of the community wherever he lived, including Lethbridge. In addition to giving his time to other local organizations, he served on the U of L Board of Governors from 1996 to 2002.
