Tanner Lapointe is a performer, educator, and conductor who holds both a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) and a Bachelor of Education (Music Education) from the University of Lethbridge. He has brought a wide range of characters to life from across opera and musical theatre, including from The Magic Flute, The Marriage of Figaro, Carmen, The Barber of Seville, The Gondoliers, Candide, and Transformations, to name a few.

Tanner's first major performance came at age 12 as a boy soprano in Benjamin Britten’s Saint Nicholas. Since then, he has been featured as a soloist in concert works including Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, and selections from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. He continues to perform across Alberta and British Columbia in both staged and concert settings.

Tanner is also one half of Tan & Jam, a vocal duo dedicated to presenting high-quality concert experiences and community engagement opportunities. In the 2024/2025 season, the duo presented 17 concert performances across Southern Alberta. The duo has partnered with organizations such as the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra, Lethbridge Pridefest, University of Lethbridge, Concerts in Care Alberta, and more…

In addition to his solo work, Tanner is active in the choral and theatre scene. He performs regularly with choral ensembles and has experience conducting school, community, and chamber choirs. His work with theatre companies spans both performance and production, having contributed to productions in roles both on stage and behind the scenes.

Tanner is a passionate educator. He has been teaching private voice for the past three years, and he continues to seek and create education and performance opportunities for students. He teaches all genres of vocal music and encourages students to explore their personal experiences and identity in their singing. He is currently a substitute teacher in the Lethbridge School Division.

Fees*:

  • 30-Minute Lessons: $120 (Monthly) or $960 (Lump Sum)
  • 45-Minute Lessons: $180 (Monthly) or $1,440 (Lump Sum)
  • 60 Minute Lessons: $240 (Monthly) or $1,920 (Lump Sum)

*The above lump sum ranges are based on 32 weeks of lessons over the course of September - May, but can be pro-rated for students starting late in the term.
