Lyon French Immersion Summer Program

About the Program

Courses are oriented towards the development of oral and written expression and comprehension skills. Achievement of autonomy in the use of French requires the acquisition of grammar, vocabulary and specific aspects of French culture. A variety of linguistic activities are offered to students and involve the use of specific methods, exercise books and real-life documents: press, adverts, cartoons, written texts, videos… The courses require students to participate on an active basis. The courses are a great way to prepare for the DELF and DALF examinations. UCLy also offer a large number of cultural activities to help you explore France and apply what you are learning in the classroom!

Cost

Included in Program Fee

The fee of EUR 855/month (approx. CAD 1,250) for 2024 includes only UCLy's tuition.

Not Included in Program Fee

The program fee does not include U of L tuition for the course(s) transferred, travel between Canada and France, accommodations, and other living/personal expenses such as food.

  • Cost: EUR 460 - 560/month (approx. $700 - 850) for 2024 plus EUR 400 security deposit

Global Skills Opportunity Funding

Domestic undergraduate students who participate in this summer program will receive up to $5,000 through the Global Skills Opportunity Award.

Underrepresented students: up to $5,000

• Indigenous students
• Students with a disability
• Low income students (receiving government student loans or grants)

All other eligible students: up to $1,500

1. Attend an upcoming info session.
2. Apply to the summer exchange program on MyExperience under Campus Programs.
3. We will review applications after the February 15 deadline and contact you with steps to apply to the partner if you are accepted.
